In March of 2014 Global Lethbridge Television aired a 4 minute video on the artistry of gwd, during an exhibition in the McCain Gallery, of the Public Library in Coaldale, Alberta.
G. Wayne Dwornik
was born and raised in southern Manitoba. He attended college graduating in 1973 (Advertising Arts) majoring in photography.
He moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan to start a career in television. There he met Sandra, the woman he would marry in 1975, and the following year they moved to Lethbridge, Alberta.
Wayne worked for over 25 years in television, 10 years as a photographer, videographer. He and Sandra have raised two children and continue to reside in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Living on the prairies, just 90 minutes from the Rocky Mountains, you can detect in his photographs the influence of the environment around him.
"If I were to categorize my photography, art or style I suppose it would most accurately or comfortably fit (for me) as “documentary photography... with a side of humour!”.
This website launched in April 2016 has been designed to celebrate the artist’s 45 years in photography.
This is your one-stop shop for 45 pictures of … well, it could be just about anything! From beaches and Colts to those Vinyl singles and everything in between. Galleries of my documentary style of photography, puns and a gallery collection of my oil paintings, sketches and fine art photography over the years.
And this might not simply be your above average or exceptional stock photography website (there's that "tongue-in-cheek" humour of mine showing up again!).

Una Exposición de 45 años de fotografía
QUIEN SOY?
G Wayne Dwornik nació y creció en el sur de Manitoba. Asistió al college y se graduó en 1973 en artes publicitarias con especialización en fotografía. G Wayne se trasladó a Swift, Saskatchewan para iniciar su carrera en televisión. Allí conoció a Sandra, con quien contrajo matrimonio en el año 1975. Al año siguiente G Wayne y su esposa, se mudaron a Lethbridge, Alberta. Wayne trabajo por más de 25 años en televisión, 10 años como fotógrafo y camarógrafo. Sandra y Wayne tuvieron 2 hijos. Wayne y su esposa viven en las praderas de Lethbridge, Alberta, a tan solo a 90 minutos de las montañas rocosas.
En sus fotografías puede verse la influencia del ambiente donde vive.
‘’ Si yo tuviera que describir mis fotografías, mi arte y/o mi estilo, yo diría que lo que mejor describe mis fotografías es la fotografía documental…. con un poco de humor!
