Welcome to Day 1 of my (no doubt soon-to-be-ir-) regular blog for 45pictures.com Quick explanation of “Why this website?” …to celebrate my 45 years in photography and art. While it wasn’t April 1st. it definitely was 1971. And over the past 45 years plus, I have had lots to celebrate. I seemed to have a knack for, or at least an interest in documenting things, events, the sights in the world around me. I had been working to build on my initials gwd, but with “photography by… it was a mouthful, long and ended up listed under “p , which threw me off, if not everyone else looking for “Dwornik.

So what is my brand of 45 pictures all about? various 45’s. events and images from 45 consecutive years, as documented and collected by yours truly….

Galleries of 45 pictures of just about anything I’ve shot or painted in the past 45 years. In some galleries, I suspect I will want to do up, but with merely 4-5 pictures. I hope you’ll follow me, and allow me these and other indulgences….

Images as photographs, oil paintings, a variety of sketch media, and software generated imagery will begin to show up; galleries ranging from Alberta Breathless moments to Architecture to boats, clouds, horses, in Mexico and Cuba.things that I love to enjoy, and capture in my way of seeing the world around me… from mountain peaks, down to shorelines, birds, flowers, and then back home here in YQL and even a Zamboni. And much more about “me”, much later, maybe.

I want this to be a fun, open friendly beautiful website in celebration. We’ll see where this trip takes us all. Welcome aboard, cone on along; Enjoy. I will encourage comments, critique, ideas put forth, collaboration; who knows where this will go.
